Even when you do your laundry-sorting with all carefulness, anything can sneak into your dryer and cause a mess. Cleaning your dryer is more about maintenance than cleaning, and we’ll explain a practical way to do so.
Of course, the first step is to make sure you unplug your dryer—even if it’s a gas dryer. Then, define what type of problem you have: is it a crayon? Is it dye from a piece of cloth?
Here’s a series of steps you can follow to clean your dryer:
Crayon
1. Go ahead and check the interior drum for any stuck-on crayon, spin the drum just to be sure.
2. Scrape off any chunks of crayon with a plastic (expired) credit card or spatula.
3. Get a WD-40. Remember that a direct application of WD-40 is definitely banned (it can create a fire!). Instead, spray a small amount of it on a cleaning rag.
4. Rub any areas containing crayon marks, it won’t be hard work and the results will be great.
5. Take a different rag and wet it with soapy water. Wash with it the interior of the drum, paying special attention to the area that you just wiped with the WD-40.
6. Take a third rag and wet it with clean water. Rinse the interior of the drum, take a cloth, and dry it. (These steps will be repeated in all cases)
Ink
1. Instead of WD-40, apply an all-purpose cleaner onto a cleaning rag. Remember: direct applications are banned!
2. Rub the ink stain with your rag until it disappears.
3. If the stains are stubborn, dampen another cleaning rag with rubbing alcohol, and scrub the stain. Then, take a rag wet with soapy water and wash the interior of the drum.
4. Rinse and dry with two separate rags, as detailed above.
Candy or Gum
1. Probably you’ll have to use a blow dryer to soften the candy or gum to a point where it can be removed. Hold the blow dryer about 6 inches from the candy or gum and use the hot air setting.
2. Scrape the item off the side of the drum with a spatula.
3. Spray a small amount of all-purpose cleaner onto a cleaning rag. Do as in the process above: rub, rinse, and dry.
Dye
1. Take a dryer sheet, dampen it, and run it along the inside of the dryer drum. Use as many sheets as necessary to wipe down the entire drum.
2. Take your three “final process rags”: one with soapy water to clean, one to rinse and the last one to dry.
3. After the cleaning process—and before running a fresh load of laundry— run a test load of old towels or rags to make sure the stain is gone.
Remember that, apart from cleaning your dryer’s drum, it’s absolutely necessary to keep your dryer lint screen and vent free of excess lint and debris.

When you have too much to do baseboard cleaning, baseboards are definitely not on your priority list. However, cleaning them from time to time is helpful for maintaining tidiness and a healthy environment. Cleaning your floor doesn’t always do the work for you, so here’s a quick guide on how to clean your baseboards—without straining your back.
In the first place, you can schedule a monthly, dedicated baseboard cleaning. Frequent and preventive maintenance will avoid any hard, long, and tiring process.
The Importance of Clean Baseboards
Baseboards are an often overlooked aspect of home cleaning that can have a big impact on the overall look and feel of your living space. Not only do baseboards collect dust, dirt, and grime over time, but they can also harbor bacteria and allergens that can affect the air quality in your home. This is particularly important for households with young children or individuals with allergies or respiratory issues.
The Benefits of Professional Baseboard Cleaning
While it may seem like a simple task, cleaning baseboards can be a time-consuming and physically demanding chore, especially for those with mobility issues or busy schedules. This is where professional cleaning services can be a game-changer. At BA House Cleaning, we provide high-quality baseboard cleaning services that will leave your home looking and feeling its best.
Our team of experienced cleaners uses industry-leading cleaning solutions and techniques to remove dirt, grime, and bacteria from your baseboards, ensuring that your living space is not only clean but also healthy. We take the time to clean every nook and cranny, including hard-to-reach corners and tight spaces, leaving no surface untouched.
Remember to do your floor cleaning first, as it will help you to pick up any excessive debris.
Let’s clean!
– Vacuuming with the brush attachment will allow removing dust, hair, dust, and any loose dirt. Always remember to put special attention to the floor around the baseboards.
– Spray the baseboards with a cleaning solution; it can be an all-purpose cleaner or a mix of half water and half vinegar. Remember that splashing is not the same as soaking (you don’t want to dampen your walls). When done, wait 10 minutes for the solution to sit before continuing.
– To rinse, there are two ways depending on your disposition and time:
a) Damp a sponge with clean water. Wash the baseboards one by one.
b) Use a mop to clean the baseboards. This is a quicker method, however, if they happen to have stains, you might need to scrub them directly with a sponge or a cloth.
– Let them dry. Also, you can take a new dryer sheet and wipe it over the wood. These sheets have a property (anti-static cling) that will prevent dust to stick to baseboards. This will help you in the long run, because you’ll be able to just vacuum them in the future.
Finally, if your baseboards present hard-to-clean corners that are really dirty, you can use cotton heads to clean them. This will take a fair amount of time, but it0’ll be worth it.

Are you tired of spending hours cleaning your home, only to feel like it’s not quite up to par? Do you wish you could achieve that professional-level clean that makes your home feel brand new? Well, you’re in luck. In this article, we’ll share some of the best professional cleaning tips and techniques that are used by cleaning experts to achieve a spotless and hygienic space. From deep cleaning your kitchen to tackling tough stains on your carpets, these tips will help you transform your home into a beautifully clean and organized space that you can be proud of. So, put on your cleaning gloves, and let’s get started!
Cleaning your house is more a task of patience and perseverance than strength and swiftness.
We all know that cleaning is not the most exciting activity in the world, but the results are worth all the effort: a clean, great-looking space, where all items are where they belong, where the light reflects the perfect harmony of all the elements and the air has a nice, fresh smell.
Yes, that’s what we think a dream house looks (and smells) like. And we want you to have your own dream house. That’s why we’ve developed 3 articles that will not only tell you many Professional Cleaning Tips but also how to maintain that cleanliness as long as possible.
So, let’s start!
Dusting
We understand that dusting can be everything but enjoyable, however, maintaining a dust-free space will not only look great but also help to prevent respiratory diseases.
When dusting, you’ll be able to pick up off the floor, fold throw blankets, fluff pillows and cushions, and perform basic tidying.
Be thorough, because if you miss an area the dust on it will be more evident than in the other places where you cleaned.
You can use the dusting commercial product of your preference.
Professional Cleaning Tips:
Move Items: Even before starting to dust, move items and leave the space free. This is more effective than moving each item one by one and dusting under it.
Ceiling Fans: Let’s start dusting from top to bottom, so ceiling fans go first. Dust them thoroughly fully once, and next time you’re left to dust with less effort. A chair or a small ladder can help you to reach up and clean.
Window Ledges: Raise all blinds or curtains to access all ledges.
Door Jams & Light Switch Plates: Take a damp cloth and apply a little cleaning product on it. Use it to clean these areas.
Patio Doors: Use a damp cloth with a little cleaning product on it, too. Clean them and, if any moisture is left, dry them with a paper towel. If you have a pet, take special care of nose marks.
Baseboards: Clean them with a damp mop and/or vacuum them.
Quick Cleaning
If you happen to have limited time and you just want to tidy up a bit, remember to dust bed frames, the side of cabinets and armoires, door panels, banisters and spindles, chair legs and bases, curtain rods, pictures and their frames, stairwell ledges, dining room table legs, and bases. Every debris and dust that is not perfectly taken out with your cleaning rag can be thrown to the floor. Then, vacuum everything. This will save time.
Next week we’ll be addressing bathrooms and more Professional Cleaning Tips, stay tuned!
Grout is described as a finishing material. It’s put between your tiles as a compliment. However, in our busy lives, there’s little to no time to clean it deeply on a daily basis. Sometimes, the grout can become dirty—so much so that it becomes a cleaning nightmare.
In this article, we’re going to approach the easier methods to transform that nightmare into a quick and doable task.
To start, use a dry broom or mop to wipe across the floor tiles. You can opt for a dry cloth to wipe wall tiles. In this way, you’ll remove dirt excess and dust before starting with the grout cleaning process.
Eco-Friendly Solution for Grout Cleaning
When up to the grout job, an always-useful advice is to apply the cleaning product and let it sit for a good amount of time. This will soften the dirt; therefore, it will be easier to remove.
An eco-friendly solution is powdered oxygen bleach: is nontoxic, doesn’t produce harsh fumes, and is color (and fabric) safe.
Why Oxygen Bleach Works
Why does it work? Because the oxygen ions attack the stain molecules, breaking them into pieces—making them easier to rinse away.
To clean floor tiles and grouts, mix oxygen bleach with warm water. Stir it until it dissolves. Pour the solution onto the floor tile and flood the grout lines, let it sit for 15 minutes or more (the more grime, the more time).
As the oxygen ions work for up to six hours, there’s no really a rush to rinse it away. It also helps to scrub the grout lightly after 30 minutes. Remember to pour the new solution onto the grout as you scrub.
Using Vinegar and Baking Soda for Grout Cleaning
You can also use a mix of vinegar and baking soda. Remember our previous articles that suggest the use of a paste-like mix of these solutions? Well, we’re recommending them again. They’re amazing!
To scrub, you may use a hard-bristled brush to take out the grout clean. There are some dedicated grout brushes in the market, but you may find that an old toothbrush works just as well.
The final step, when the stains and dirt are a past story, is to rinse the floor or wall with clean water and dry it.
Make sure you include tile and grout cleaning as part of your regular cleaning schedule. Clean tiles and grout improve the appearance of any space in a way that makes the room appear brighter, cleaner, and larger.
Try out these methods and let us know the results in the comment section!
We, the team of BA House Cleaning, know that our job marks a difference: we transform a messy house into a clean, optimal living space. We’re always excited when we see our client’s satisfaction in their face.
However, we also understand that there are more difficulties in life than only a messy house. Cancer is one of those difficulties: a strong and treacherous enemy that a person (and his/her family has to defeat).
The Role of Cleaning for a Reason in Supporting Women with Cancer and How BA House Cleaning is Contributing to the Cause
When you’re fighting against cancer, there’s little to no time to take care of your living space. That’s why Cleaning for A Reason was created: a nonprofit that partners with maid services to offer professional house cleanings to help women undergoing treatment for cancer, any type of cancer.
We believe that we can change these female fighters—they that are fighting cancer—one life, one space at a time.
The Impact of Cleaning for a Reason on Women with Cancer
Cleaning for a Reason was the brainchild of President and Founder, Debbie Sardone, owner of Buckets & Bows Maid Service, Lewisville, TX.[1] Several years ago, Debbie received a quote request from a lady on the phone, when the price was given, the lady told her “I won’t be able to afford that now; I’m undergoing cancer treatment” and hung up. Debbie wasn’t able to call her back (she didn’t have her number) and from that time on, she decided that no woman going under cancer treatment should pay for a clean house. This movement started in her own maid service company and quickly spread to other companies that also wanted to pursue this great objective.
Since 2005, Cleaning for A Reason is a 501(c) 3 non-profit corporation and has provided more than 17,000 cleanings for women with cancer with a value of more than $4.5 million in donated cleanings, and partnered with over 1,100 maid services. Brands such as Walmart, Mr. Clean, and Swiffer are their current corporate sponsors and their cause has spread to mass media, as seen on Oprah.
Why did we partner?
Well, why not? We’re certain that Cleaning for A Reason has a worth-to-pursue cause: to offer free professional house cleanings to improve the lives of women undergoing cancer treatment.
And this is a cause that not only complies with our Corporate Social Responsibility, but definitely goes beyond that: we also have family, friends, and acquaintances, and more than once have heard about a woman fighting against cancer. We are, as a company and as humans, excited to be part of this wonderful cause, excited to help others not only to take out the dust but to create a clean, optimal space that facilitates a soon recovery.

Preparing for the Cleanup
Before you embark on the kitchen cleaning journey, proper preparation is key to ensuring a smooth and effective cleaning process.
Gather Your Cleaning Supplies
The first step is to gather all the necessary cleaning supplies. To clean your kitchen effectively, you’ll need:
Disinfectants: Choose disinfectants that are suitable for different surfaces in your kitchen.
Microfiber Cloths: These are ideal for wiping down surfaces and leave no streaks behind.
Sponges: Sponges are versatile tools for scrubbing and cleaning.
Trash Bags: Keep trash bags handy for easy disposal of waste.
Having the right tools at your disposal is essential to ensure a thorough and hygienic Cleaning Kitchen Oakland process. Make sure all your cleaning supplies are within reach before you begin.
Declutter Your Kitchen
A cluttered kitchen can hinder your cleaning efforts and make the process less efficient. Before you start cleaning, take the time to:
Clear Countertops: Remove items that are not related to your cleaning tasks.
Organize Items: Reorganize your kitchen items, putting things back where they belong.
Dispose of Unnecessary Items: Throw away items that you no longer need, as decluttering can make cleaning more manageable.
By clearing the clutter and organizing your kitchen, you create an open and clean workspace, making the cleaning process more efficient and less frustrating.
Remember, a well-organized approach will set the stage for a successful kitchen cleanup, ensuring that you achieve the desired level of cleanliness and hygiene in your kitchen.
Cleaning the Kitchen Surfaces
Step 1: Gather Your Supplies
Before you begin the process of cleaning your kitchen countertops and islands, it’s essential to assemble the necessary cleaning supplies. To effectively clean and disinfect these surfaces, you’ll need the following items:
A suitable cleaner: Select a cleaner that is safe for the specific material of your countertops. For example, use a stone-safe cleaner for granite and a laminate-safe cleaner for laminate surfaces.
Disinfectant: Choose a disinfectant that is effective against a broad spectrum of germs.
Microfiber cloths: These are excellent for cleaning and drying surfaces without leaving streaks.
Sponge: A sponge with a non-abrasive surface is ideal for scrubbing and removing stains without damaging the countertops.
Step 2: Clear the Countertops
Remove all items from your countertops and islands. This includes small kitchen appliances, dishes, utensils, and decorative items. Clearing the surfaces will not only make the Cleaning Kitchen Oakland process more manageable but also prevent contamination of your belongings with cleaning products.
Step 3: Wipe Down with Cleaner
Apply the chosen cleaner to the countertops. Be sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions and recommendations regarding dilution and usage. Apply the cleaner evenly across the surface.
Step 4: Scrub and Disinfect
Using a sponge or microfiber cloth, gently scrub the surfaces. Pay special attention to areas with visible stains, spills, or dried-on food residue. These areas may require a bit more effort to ensure they are thoroughly cleaned.
After scrubbing, apply the disinfectant. Be sure to let it sit on the surface for the recommended time to effectively kill any lingering germs. This is crucial for maintaining a hygienic food preparation area.
Step 5: Dry Thoroughly
After you’ve cleaned and disinfected the surfaces, it’s important to dry them thoroughly. Use a clean, dry microfiber cloth to wipe away any remaining moisture. This step helps prevent water spots and streaks, leaving your countertops and islands looking spotless and polished.
Cleaning Appliances
Step 1: Unplug or Turn Off
Safety is paramount when cleaning kitchen appliances. Begin by unplugging or turning off the appliance you’re about to clean. This precaution prevents accidental starts and electrical shocks during the cleaning process.
Step 2: Remove Loose Debris
Before diving into the cleaning process, remove any loose debris from inside and around the appliance. For example, in the case of a microwave, check for crumbs or spills on the turntable or in the interior.
Step 3: Clean the Exterior
Using an appropriate cleaner, apply a small amount to a microfiber cloth. Gently clean the exterior of the appliance. Pay close attention to handles, buttons, and control panels, as these are areas that often accumulate fingerprints, spills, and smudges.
Step 4: Clean the Interior
If the appliance has an interior that requires cleaning, it’s important to follow the manufacturer’s instructions for safe and effective cleaning. Some appliances, like ovens, microwaves, and dishwashers, have removable parts that can be cleaned separately. For example, in the case of a dishwasher, the filter or spray arms may be removable for cleaning.
Step 5: Disinfect Handles and Touch Points
In addition to cleaning, it’s crucial to disinfect frequently touched areas of the appliance. These high-contact surfaces, such as door handles and control buttons, can harbor germs. Apply a disinfectant and ensure it sits on these surfaces for the recommended contact time to effectively eliminate germs.
Step 6: Reassemble and Restore Power
After cleaning and disinfecting, if you’ve removed any parts or unplugged the appliance, be sure to reassemble it as per the manufacturer’s instructions. Once everything is back in place, plug the appliance back in or turn it on.
By following these detailed steps, you can maintain your kitchen surfaces and appliances in top condition, ensuring both cleanliness and safety for your family. Regular cleaning not only enhances the appearance of your kitchen but also promotes a healthy cooking environment.
Tackling Kitchen Floors
Your kitchen floor is subjected to daily wear and tear, making regular cleaning essential to maintain its appearance and hygiene. The approach to cleaning your kitchen floor depends on the type of flooring you have, whether it’s tiles, hardwood, or vinyl.
Tiles
Step 1: Sweep or Vacuum
Start by removing loose dirt and debris from your tile floor. You can use a broom or a vacuum cleaner with a hard floor setting to ensure a clean surface to work with.
Step 2: Mix a Cleaning Solution
Prepare a cleaning solution by mixing warm water with a mild floor cleaner or a mixture of water and a small amount of dish soap. Avoid using harsh chemicals that can damage your tiles.
Step 3: Mop the Floor
Dip a mop into the cleaning solution, wring it out well, and mop the floor. Pay special attention to any stained or dirty areas. For stubborn stains, you can use a soft-bristle brush to scrub gently.
Step 4: Rinse and Dry
After mopping, rinse the floor with clean water to remove any soap residue. Then, dry the floor with a clean, dry cloth or mop. This step is crucial to prevent water spots and streaks, leaving your tile floor looking shiny and clean.
Hardwood
Step 1: Sweep or Vacuum
Begin by removing loose dirt and dust from your hardwood floor. Use a soft-bristle broom or a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment to avoid scratching the wood.
Step 2: Use a Suitable Hardwood Cleaner
Choose a hardwood floor cleaner that is specifically designed for your type of wood. Follow the manufacturer’s recommendations for dilution and usage.
Step 3: Mop Carefully
Dampen a mop with the hardwood cleaner solution, making sure it’s not overly wet. Excess moisture can damage wood floors. Mop the floor gently, following the grain of the wood. Avoid leaving standing water on the floor.
Step 4: Dry Thoroughly
Once you’ve cleaned the hardwood floor, dry it immediately with a clean, dry cloth or mop. Quick drying is essential to prevent water from seeping into the wood and causing damage.
Vinyl
Step 1: Sweep or Vacuum
Remove loose dirt and debris from your vinyl floor using a broom or a vacuum cleaner with a hard floor setting. This prevents scratching and ensures a clean surface.
Step 2: Mix a Vinyl Floor Cleaner
Prepare a cleaning solution by mixing warm water with a vinyl floor cleaner or a mixture of water and a small amount of mild dish soap. Harsh chemicals can damage vinyl, so use a gentle cleaner.
Step 3: Mop the Floor
Dip a mop into the cleaning solution, wring it out, and mop the floor. Pay extra attention to areas with stains or dirt buildup. You can use a soft-bristle brush to scrub gently if needed.
Step 4: Rinse and Dry
After mopping, rinse the floor with clean water to remove any soap residue. Dry the floor with a clean, dry cloth or mop to prevent water spots and streaks.
By following these steps for your specific kitchen floor type, you can ensure a clean, well-maintained, and hygienic surface in your kitchen. Regular floor cleaning not only enhances the appearance of your kitchen but also contributes to a healthy cooking environment.
Dealing with Grease and Grime
The culinary diversity in your kitchen can sometimes lead to the accumulation of stubborn grease and grime on various surfaces. Whether it’s on your stovetop, oven, or kitchen cabinets, addressing this issue effectively is essential for maintaining a clean and safe cooking environment.
Stovetop and Range Hood
Step 1: Prepare Your Cleaning Solution
Create a mixture of equal parts water and white vinegar in a spray bottle. The acidic properties of vinegar are effective at breaking down grease.
Step 2: Remove Burner Grates and Drip Pans
If your stovetop has burner grates and drip pans, remove them for separate cleaning. These components often have grease buildup.
Step 3: Spray and Soak
Spray the stovetop surface with the vinegar and water solution. Let it sit for a few minutes to soften the grease.
Step 4: Scrub Gently
Use a non-abrasive scrubbing pad or a soft-bristle brush to scrub the stovetop surface. Pay extra attention to areas with stubborn grease spots. Avoid using abrasive materials that could scratch the surface.
Step 5: Clean Burner Grates and Drip Pans
While the stovetop soaks, clean the burner grates and drip pans separately. Use the same vinegar and water solution and scrub to remove any grease or grime.
Step 6: Rinse and Dry
After scrubbing, rinse the stovetop, burner grates, and drip pans with clean water to remove any remaining cleaning solution. Dry these components thoroughly before reassembling them.
Oven
Step 1: Remove Racks and Soak
Before tackling oven grease, remove the oven racks and soak them in warm, soapy water. This will make cleaning them easier.
Step 2: Scrape Loose Debris
Use a plastic or wooden spatula to scrape off any loose, burnt-on debris from the oven’s interior. Be gentle to avoid damaging the oven’s surface.
Step 3: Apply a Baking Soda Paste
Create a paste by mixing baking soda with a small amount of water. Spread the paste over areas with heavy grease buildup, avoiding the heating elements. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
Step 4: Scrub with a Soft Cloth
After the paste has had time to work, use a soft cloth or a non-abrasive sponge to scrub the oven’s interior. The baking soda will help break down the grease.
Step 5: Clean Oven Racks
While the interior of the oven is soaking, scrub the oven racks with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry them thoroughly.
Step 6: Rinse the Oven
Wipe the oven’s interior with a clean, damp cloth to remove any remaining baking soda residue. Rinse and wring out the cloth several times.
Step 7: Reassemble the Oven
Once the oven interior is clean and dry, reassemble the oven racks.
Kitchen Cabinets
Step 1: Remove Loose Debris
Before cleaning, remove any loose dirt or debris from your kitchen cabinets. You can use a microfiber cloth or a soft brush to do this.
Step 2: Prepare a Cleaning Solution
Mix warm water with a small amount of mild dish soap. This gentle solution is effective for cutting through grease without damaging your cabinets.
Step 3: Scrub Gently
Dip a soft cloth or sponge into the soapy water mixture. Wring it out so that it’s damp but not soaking. Use this cloth to gently scrub the cabinet surfaces. Pay extra attention to areas with visible grease or grime.
Step 4: Dry Thoroughly
After Cleaning Kitchen Oakland, use a clean, dry cloth to wipe away any remaining moisture. This step is essential to prevent water spots and streaks on your cabinet surfaces.
By following these steps, you can effectively tackle grease and grime in your kitchen, ensuring that your cooking environment remains clean, hygienic, and inviting. Regular maintenance will keep your kitchen looking its best.
Benefits of Natural Cleaners
Safety for Your Family
One of the most significant advantages of natural cleaners is their safety. Unlike conventional cleaning products that often contain harsh chemicals, natural cleaners are typically free from toxic ingredients. This means you can clean your kitchen without exposing your family to harmful fumes or residues that can affect health, particularly for those with allergies or sensitivities.
Environmental Friendliness
Natural cleaners are biodegradable and environmentally friendly. They break down more easily in the environment, reducing the long-term impact on ecosystems and water sources. Traditional cleaning products often contain chemicals that can harm aquatic life and pollute waterways.
Non-Abrasive
Many natural cleaners, such as white vinegar and baking soda, are non-abrasive. They can effectively clean surfaces without causing damage or scratches. This makes them suitable for various kitchen surfaces, from countertops to appliances and cookware.
Versatility
Natural cleaners are incredibly versatile. With a few basic ingredients like vinegar, baking soda, lemon juice, and essential oils, you can create a wide range of cleaning solutions for different kitchen surfaces. This versatility reduces the need for multiple specialized cleaning products.
Improved Indoor Air Quality
Conventional cleaning products can release volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into the air, leading to poor indoor air quality. Natural cleaners are typically low in VOCs, ensuring that the air you breathe while cleaning remains fresher and healthier.
Pleasant Aromas
Natural cleaners often use essential oils for fragrance. This means that, after cleaning, your kitchen will have a pleasant, natural scent rather than the overpowering and sometimes unpleasant chemical odors associated with conventional cleaners.
Common Natural Cleaning Ingredients
White Vinegar: Effective at cutting through grease and grime, white vinegar is a natural disinfectant and deodorizer.
Baking Soda: This versatile powder can scrub surfaces and remove stains. It’s particularly useful for cleaning sinks, stovetops, and ovens.
Lemon Juice: Known for its natural antibacterial and antiseptic properties, lemon juice also leaves a fresh, citrus scent.
Essential Oils: Essential oils like lavender, tea tree, or eucalyptus can be added to Cleaning Kitchen Oakland for pleasant scents and extra cleaning power.
Olive Oil: This natural oil is ideal for polishing and conditioning wood surfaces.
Creating Natural Cleaning Solutions
You can easily create natural cleaning solutions using these ingredients. For example, a mixture of equal parts water and white vinegar can be used to clean and disinfect surfaces. Baking soda can be made into a paste for scrubbing, and lemon juice can be used to remove stains and odors.
By incorporating natural cleaners into your kitchen cleaning routine, you not only ensure a safe and healthy environment for your family but also contribute to a greener and more sustainable planet. The power of natural cleaners is evident in their effectiveness, safety, and positive impact on the environment.

In order for you to have your own dream house, we’ve developed 3 articles, here are one and two.
Keep reading for the last article of this series and learn how to clean and maintain that cleanliness as long as possible.
Kitchen
Always do the baseboards first, (with a rag mop) and make sure that the mop is wet enough to actually clean the baseboards.
The most used parts of a kitchen are the tools that contain food—the fridge and ovens—so, those are the utensils that need most of your attention.
For the fridge, wipe the door panel, handle, and the top of the fridge.
In a previous article, we’ve covered how to clean your oven and your oven racks. However, a good and easy way to clean your oven is to spray its interior ahead of time (remove the lower drawer, place about 4 or 5 sheets of newspaper on the floor to catch any drips) and then, when grease and food crumbs are easy to remove, remove them.
For small appliances, after cleaning, remember to polish them.
The mopping part
Use your cleaning product of preference, having in mind your floor type: wood, tile, etc.
A great option to clean your floor and avoid using commercial products is to use vinegar and water a couple of times.
Mop your way out of a room, and it helps to keep the mop head going in the same direction as the grain of the hardwood floor – this reduces the chance of streaks forming.

Mirrors: a streak-free mirror is a must. It has to look clean from all angles. You can use a commercial foam glass cleaner for this purpose, or mix vinegar and water and use it to remove any build-up dirt and grime.

The kitchen, the special place where we all go to find the comfort of homemade food can be also a war zone if you don’t define a cleaning routine.
You don’t have to sacrifice hours and hours every day cleaning your kitchen. Instead, define a routine that helps you to maintain a general tidiness and do some deep cleaning when the time arrives.
Daily
Cleaning the dishes is the main task in your kitchen. We all have to do them frequently because a kitchen that piles up mountains of dishes will never look (and smell) good. There are two options for doing the dishes: using a dishwasher or cleaning the dishes yourself.
We’ll focus on the DIY option. Actually, it doesn’t have to be only you: ask for some help in order to form a wash, rinse, dry, and put away assembly line.
Empty the dirty water and scrape the plate of food off into the disposal. Then, add the plate to the dishwasher.
If you have a double sink with a garbage disposal on one side, use the disposal-free side. In this way, you’ll be able to scrape leftovers down the drain quickly while you work.
A good tip is to choose the dishes that are going to give you trouble to get clean. Heavily soiled dishes can be put on the bottom and washed in the last place. Pans, bowls, and large dishes can be filled with hot soapy water and set on the counter to soak.
After washing the dishes, it’ll take you around five minutes every day to wipe down the sink, the stovetop, and the counters. Remember to clean your floor after all these activities, as some crumbs tend to fall on it.
Remember to take the trash outside and reline the trash container so that it is ready for the next day’s trash.
Weekly
You’ll need fifteen minutes once a week to wipe the cabinets, backsplashes, and appliances. Rinse out sponges and rags. And take out the crumbles and large (but easy) stains of your kitchen utensils as the microwave, toaster and coffee maker.
You might also want to clean the rack and the inside of the garbage can. As before, remember to clean your floors and, additionally, mop them.
Periodically
You’ll define how often you need to do a deep cleaning that requires emptying and scrubbing down the inside of the refrigerator. You might also want to empty and clean the insides of the utensil drawers and clean the stove-hood filter and do a deep cleaning of your kitchen utensils.
Extra Tips!
As you might guess, doing the dishes for one person is quicker than doing it for an entire family. The more people you have who live and eat in your home, the more time this process is going to take. The good thing about having more people at home is that they can help with the assembly line we mentioned before.
You can also ask your family members to clear and rinse their own plates after each meal. At the end of the day, the person in charge of doing the dishes will find his/her job easier to do.
And, as a final tip, don’t underestimate the power of efficiency. Run a sink of hot soapy water at the same time you start preparing your food. As mixing bowls, cutting boards, knives, etc., become dirty, quickly wash them out to prevent food from drying and sticking.

The kitchen is more than just a place to prepare meals; it’s a hub of activity where families gather and culinary masterpieces are created. However, a cluttered and dirty kitchen can quickly become a source of stress. This guide aims to transform your kitchen into a pristine sanctuary where cooking is a joy.
Why a Clean Kitchen Matters
A clean kitchen isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s about ensuring a safe, healthy, and enjoyable culinary space. Let’s explore why maintaining cleanliness in your kitchen is of utmost importance:
Hygiene and Safety
Hygiene is paramount in the kitchen. When food is involved, cleanliness becomes a critical factor in preventing foodborne illnesses. A dirty kitchen can be a breeding ground for harmful bacteria like Salmonella, E. coli, and Listeria. These pathogens can contaminate your food, leading to gastrointestinal problems and, in severe cases, hospitalization.
Regularly cleaning your kitchen surfaces, utensils, and appliances significantly reduces the risk of food contamination. It’s not just about washing your hands before cooking; it’s about ensuring that every surface that comes into contact with food is clean and sanitized.
Safety also goes hand in hand with hygiene. A cluttered and disorganized kitchen can be a safety hazard. Imagine trying to navigate a kitchen with spills on the floor, dishes piled high, and utensils scattered about. Accidents waiting to happen, right?
A clean kitchen minimizes these risks. Spills are cleaned promptly, clutter is kept at bay, and your cooking area is well-organized and free from hazards. This not only prevents accidents but also ensures that you can focus on your culinary creations without worry.
Food Quality and Freshness
Ever wondered why some meals taste better when prepared at home than in a restaurant? One of the secrets lies in the freshness and quality of ingredients. A clean kitchen plays a significant role in preserving the integrity of your ingredients.
For instance, a dirty refrigerator can be a breeding ground for molds and bacteria, leading to premature spoilage of your groceries. On the other hand, a clean refrigerator with well-sealed containers keeps your food fresh for longer, reducing waste and saving you money.
Moreover, clean countertops and cutting boards prevent cross-contamination between different ingredients. You wouldn’t want traces of raw meat on your fresh vegetables, right? Maintaining a clean kitchen ensures that your ingredients are handled and stored in a way that maintains their quality and taste.
Peaceful Cooking Environment
Have you ever tried cooking in a chaotic and cluttered kitchen? It’s not a pleasant experience. A clean and organized kitchen sets the stage for peaceful and enjoyable cooking. Here’s how:
Stress Reduction: Clutter and dirt can be stress-inducing. When your kitchen is clean and organized, you enter a peaceful environment that reduces stress and anxiety.
Focus on Creativity: Cooking is an art, and a clean kitchen is your canvas. It allows you to focus on your culinary creativity rather than worrying about the mess.
Efficiency: An organized kitchen streamlines your cooking process. You can find ingredients, utensils, and tools easily, making the cooking experience efficient and enjoyable.
In summary, a clean kitchen is the cornerstone of a safe, healthy, and pleasant cooking environment. It ensures hygiene and safety, maintains food quality and freshness, and creates a peaceful atmosphere for your culinary adventures. So, roll up your sleeves, gather your cleaning supplies, and let’s embark on the journey to a spotless kitchen!
