Final steps to the cleaning

Take a final walk through the home inspecting each room to ensure all lights are left as found, no supplies are left behind, and all items are put back where you found them. When working in a team, be sure to check each other’s work!

Say goodbye to the client if they are home and not behind a closed door or in the middle of something that may disturb them. If they are out in their backyard, take that extra step to say goodbye. They might be waiting until you are finished to come back inside.

Make sure you leave behind a thank you and/or review note. Its best is it’s handwritten and includes your name. The client may want to add a tip or give you a great online review!

Place all supplies outside the front door.

Be sure the door is locked as you leave, unless the client specifically says to leave it unlocked.
