Cell Phone Policy

This cell phone policy has been established in response to multiple complaints regarding the inappropriate use of personal cell phones during company hours. Such behavior is unfair to the company, our clients, and especially to fellow team members. To ensure effective communication and professionalism, the following policies will be strictly enforced:

  1. Personal cell phones must be carried at all times, either on your person or within hearing range. Accessibility is crucial for prompt communication regarding any schedule changes.

  2. Calls from family or friends should be directed to voicemail, and you may return them after completing your assigned tasks, unless it constitutes an emergency.

  3. In the case of family emergencies requiring you to leave, authorization must be obtained by calling the office. This ensures proper communication with the customer and allows for a replacement to be arranged.

  4. If an employee is observed consistently taking personal calls at a client’s home, it is the responsibility of all team members to report this to the office on the same day.

  5. Should a customer complain about personal calls made during cleaning, the company will contact the employee. Depending on the severity, this may result in a verbal warning or a formal write-up.

  6. The identity of the informant (whether a client or an employee) reporting an individual for excessive phone use will not be disclosed to the accused. Employees should refrain from asking about the identity of the informant.

  7. A written warning will be issued for the first offense.

  8. A second offense will lead to termination of employment.
