Initial Cleaning (NON-TTB) β Team Lead Playbook
(Simple β’ Clear β’ Follow Every Time)
π― MISSION
π This is a Priority-Based Cleaning (NOT a Deep Clean)
Your job:
- Focus on what matters most
- Make a noticeable difference
- Set up future visits for success
π₯ STEP 1: CONFIRM EXPECTATIONS (ON ARRIVAL)
π¬ Say this:
βI see weβre starting with a maintenance cleaning today. The office did mention a Top-to-Bottom cleaning is usually recommended to fully reset the home, but weβll focus on making the biggest impact with the time we have.β
Then say:
βSome areas may take a couple of visits to fully catch up, but weβll prioritize what matters most to you.β
β Done. Move on.
π₯ STEP 2: GET TOP 3 PRIORITIES
π¬ Ask:
βWhat are the top 3 areas that would make the biggest difference for you today?β
If they say βeverythingβ:
βWeβll absolutely do as much as we canβwhat areas should we focus on first if time runs short?β
β Then CONFIRM:
βPerfect β weβll focus on [repeat back their priorities].β
π This is your cleaning plan.
π₯ STEP 3: DECIDE WHAT TO CLEAN FIRST
π§ ONE RULE:
π Client priorities FIRST
π Default priorities SECOND
If client gave priorities:
β‘οΈ Do those FIRST (no exceptions)
If client did NOT give priorities:
β‘οΈ Follow this order:
- Kitchen
- Bathrooms
- Floors (main areas)
After that:
- Dusting
- Trash
- Light straightening
Only if time allows:
- Baseboards
- Detail work
- Heavy buildup
β οΈ GOLDEN RULE
β Do NOT clean everything lightly
β
Fully clean the most important areas
β±οΈ STEP 4: MANAGE YOUR TIME
At halfway point:
- Check progress
- Make sure priorities will be finished
If running behind:
π STOP lower-priority work
π FINISH priority areas
π§ Ask yourself:
βIf the client walked in right now, would they notice the difference?β
If no β refocus
π₯ STEP 5: BEFORE YOU LEAVE (VERY IMPORTANT)
π¬ Say this:
βToday we focused on your main priorities β [repeat areas].β
Then say THIS (do not skip):
βAs we continue with recurring visits, weβll be able to rotate through other areas and continue improving the rest of the home over time.β
Optional:
βThatβs how we keep everything consistently maintained.β
π§ DO NOT SAY:
- βWe didnβt get toβ¦β
- βWe ran out of timeβ¦β
π Always frame as progress + plan
β FINAL CHECK (TEAM LEAD)
Before leaving, make sure:
β I reset expectations
β I got top 3 priorities
β We completed those priorities
β We didnβt spread too thin
β I communicated clearly before leaving
π₯ ONE LINE TO REMEMBER
βClient priorities first. Make it look better where it matters most.β
