Turning Down Clients – Spotting Deal Breakers – 3 strikes

Our job is to WOW the right customers—but not every prospect is a good fit.
If they insist on 3+ deal breakers, it’s best to refer them elsewhere. This keeps our schedule reliable and protects our cleaning techs’ income.Examples of deal breakers:
 – Wants an exact arrival time (no 3 or 4 hour window) – Refuses to pick up/declutter before cleaning (won’t upgrade to Tidy-Up) – Pushes back on late cancellation fees – Refuses to keep a credit card on file
– Mentions hiring multiple companies and complains about each one
– Asks to be sent our insurance information before hiring us and is not a commercial client.   – No running water or electricity at the propertyRemember: We hire reliable Cleaning techs who also deserve a reliable schedule.

Last-minute cancellations or frequent skips without fees hurt their ability to depend on steady work.If you spot 3 or more of these red flags, don’t bend—refer.
