When you have too much to do baseboard cleaning, baseboards are definitely not on your priority list. However, cleaning them from time to time is helpful for maintaining tidiness and a healthy environment. Cleaning your floor doesn’t always do the work for you, so here’s a quick guide on how to clean your baseboards—without straining your back.
In the first place, you can schedule a monthly, dedicated baseboard cleaning. Frequent and preventive maintenance will avoid any hard, long, and tiring process.
The Importance of Clean Baseboards
Baseboards are an often overlooked aspect of home cleaning that can have a big impact on the overall look and feel of your living space. Not only do baseboards collect dust, dirt, and grime over time, but they can also harbor bacteria and allergens that can affect the air quality in your home. This is particularly important for households with young children or individuals with allergies or respiratory issues.
The Benefits of Professional Baseboard Cleaning
While it may seem like a simple task, cleaning baseboards can be a time-consuming and physically demanding chore, especially for those with mobility issues or busy schedules. This is where professional cleaning services can be a game-changer. At BA House Cleaning, we provide high-quality baseboard cleaning services that will leave your home looking and feeling its best.
Our team of experienced cleaners uses industry-leading cleaning solutions and techniques to remove dirt, grime, and bacteria from your baseboards, ensuring that your living space is not only clean but also healthy. We take the time to clean every nook and cranny, including hard-to-reach corners and tight spaces, leaving no surface untouched.
Remember to do your floor cleaning first, as it will help you to pick up any excessive debris.
Let’s clean!
– Vacuuming with the brush attachment will allow removing dust, hair, dust, and any loose dirt. Always remember to put special attention to the floor around the baseboards.
– Spray the baseboards with a cleaning solution; it can be an all-purpose cleaner or a mix of half water and half vinegar. Remember that splashing is not the same as soaking (you don’t want to dampen your walls). When done, wait 10 minutes for the solution to sit before continuing.
– To rinse, there are two ways depending on your disposition and time:
a) Damp a sponge with clean water. Wash the baseboards one by one.
b) Use a mop to clean the baseboards. This is a quicker method, however, if they happen to have stains, you might need to scrub them directly with a sponge or a cloth.
– Let them dry. Also, you can take a new dryer sheet and wipe it over the wood. These sheets have a property (anti-static cling) that will prevent dust to stick to baseboards. This will help you in the long run, because you’ll be able to just vacuum them in the future.
Finally, if your baseboards present hard-to-clean corners that are really dirty, you can use cotton heads to clean them. This will take a fair amount of time, but it0’ll be worth it.

Are you tired of spending hours cleaning your home, only to feel like it’s not quite up to par? Do you wish you could achieve that professional-level clean that makes your home feel brand new? Well, you’re in luck. In this article, we’ll share some of the best professional cleaning tips and techniques that are used by cleaning experts to achieve a spotless and hygienic space. From deep cleaning your kitchen to tackling tough stains on your carpets, these tips will help you transform your home into a beautifully clean and organized space that you can be proud of. So, put on your cleaning gloves, and let’s get started!
Cleaning your house is more a task of patience and perseverance than strength and swiftness.
We all know that cleaning is not the most exciting activity in the world, but the results are worth all the effort: a clean, great-looking space, where all items are where they belong, where the light reflects the perfect harmony of all the elements and the air has a nice, fresh smell.
Yes, that’s what we think a dream house looks (and smells) like. And we want you to have your own dream house. That’s why we’ve developed 3 articles that will not only tell you many Professional Cleaning Tips but also how to maintain that cleanliness as long as possible.
So, let’s start!
Dusting
We understand that dusting can be everything but enjoyable, however, maintaining a dust-free space will not only look great but also help to prevent respiratory diseases.
When dusting, you’ll be able to pick up off the floor, fold throw blankets, fluff pillows and cushions, and perform basic tidying.
Be thorough, because if you miss an area the dust on it will be more evident than in the other places where you cleaned.
You can use the dusting commercial product of your preference.
Professional Cleaning Tips:
Move Items: Even before starting to dust, move items and leave the space free. This is more effective than moving each item one by one and dusting under it.
Ceiling Fans: Let’s start dusting from top to bottom, so ceiling fans go first. Dust them thoroughly fully once, and next time you’re left to dust with less effort. A chair or a small ladder can help you to reach up and clean.
Window Ledges: Raise all blinds or curtains to access all ledges.
Door Jams & Light Switch Plates: Take a damp cloth and apply a little cleaning product on it. Use it to clean these areas.
Patio Doors: Use a damp cloth with a little cleaning product on it, too. Clean them and, if any moisture is left, dry them with a paper towel. If you have a pet, take special care of nose marks.
Baseboards: Clean them with a damp mop and/or vacuum them.
Quick Cleaning
If you happen to have limited time and you just want to tidy up a bit, remember to dust bed frames, the side of cabinets and armoires, door panels, banisters and spindles, chair legs and bases, curtain rods, pictures and their frames, stairwell ledges, dining room table legs, and bases. Every debris and dust that is not perfectly taken out with your cleaning rag can be thrown to the floor. Then, vacuum everything. This will save time.
Next week we’ll be addressing bathrooms and more Professional Cleaning Tips, stay tuned!
Grout is described as a finishing material. It’s put between your tiles as a compliment. However, in our busy lives, there’s little to no time to clean it deeply on a daily basis. Sometimes, the grout can become dirty—so much so that it becomes a cleaning nightmare.
In this article, we’re going to approach the easier methods to transform that nightmare into a quick and doable task.
To start, use a dry broom or mop to wipe across the floor tiles. You can opt for a dry cloth to wipe wall tiles. In this way, you’ll remove dirt excess and dust before starting with the grout cleaning process.
Eco-Friendly Solution for Grout Cleaning
When up to the grout job, an always-useful advice is to apply the cleaning product and let it sit for a good amount of time. This will soften the dirt; therefore, it will be easier to remove.
An eco-friendly solution is powdered oxygen bleach: is nontoxic, doesn’t produce harsh fumes, and is color (and fabric) safe.
Why Oxygen Bleach Works
Why does it work? Because the oxygen ions attack the stain molecules, breaking them into pieces—making them easier to rinse away.
To clean floor tiles and grouts, mix oxygen bleach with warm water. Stir it until it dissolves. Pour the solution onto the floor tile and flood the grout lines, let it sit for 15 minutes or more (the more grime, the more time).
As the oxygen ions work for up to six hours, there’s no really a rush to rinse it away. It also helps to scrub the grout lightly after 30 minutes. Remember to pour the new solution onto the grout as you scrub.
Using Vinegar and Baking Soda for Grout Cleaning
You can also use a mix of vinegar and baking soda. Remember our previous articles that suggest the use of a paste-like mix of these solutions? Well, we’re recommending them again. They’re amazing!
To scrub, you may use a hard-bristled brush to take out the grout clean. There are some dedicated grout brushes in the market, but you may find that an old toothbrush works just as well.
The final step, when the stains and dirt are a past story, is to rinse the floor or wall with clean water and dry it.
Make sure you include tile and grout cleaning as part of your regular cleaning schedule. Clean tiles and grout improve the appearance of any space in a way that makes the room appear brighter, cleaner, and larger.
Try out these methods and let us know the results in the comment section!
We, the team of BA House Cleaning, know that our job marks a difference: we transform a messy house into a clean, optimal living space. We’re always excited when we see our client’s satisfaction in their face.
However, we also understand that there are more difficulties in life than only a messy house. Cancer is one of those difficulties: a strong and treacherous enemy that a person (and his/her family has to defeat).
The Role of Cleaning for a Reason in Supporting Women with Cancer and How BA House Cleaning is Contributing to the Cause
When you’re fighting against cancer, there’s little to no time to take care of your living space. That’s why Cleaning for A Reason was created: a nonprofit that partners with maid services to offer professional house cleanings to help women undergoing treatment for cancer, any type of cancer.
We believe that we can change these female fighters—they that are fighting cancer—one life, one space at a time.
The Impact of Cleaning for a Reason on Women with Cancer
Cleaning for a Reason was the brainchild of President and Founder, Debbie Sardone, owner of Buckets & Bows Maid Service, Lewisville, TX.[1] Several years ago, Debbie received a quote request from a lady on the phone, when the price was given, the lady told her “I won’t be able to afford that now; I’m undergoing cancer treatment” and hung up. Debbie wasn’t able to call her back (she didn’t have her number) and from that time on, she decided that no woman going under cancer treatment should pay for a clean house. This movement started in her own maid service company and quickly spread to other companies that also wanted to pursue this great objective.
Since 2005, Cleaning for A Reason is a 501(c) 3 non-profit corporation and has provided more than 17,000 cleanings for women with cancer with a value of more than $4.5 million in donated cleanings, and partnered with over 1,100 maid services. Brands such as Walmart, Mr. Clean, and Swiffer are their current corporate sponsors and their cause has spread to mass media, as seen on Oprah.
Why did we partner?
Well, why not? We’re certain that Cleaning for A Reason has a worth-to-pursue cause: to offer free professional house cleanings to improve the lives of women undergoing cancer treatment.
And this is a cause that not only complies with our Corporate Social Responsibility, but definitely goes beyond that: we also have family, friends, and acquaintances, and more than once have heard about a woman fighting against cancer. We are, as a company and as humans, excited to be part of this wonderful cause, excited to help others not only to take out the dust but to create a clean, optimal space that facilitates a soon recovery.
Welcome to the third and final part of our “How to Clean Your House Like You Mean It” series! In the previous two articles, we covered essential tips and tricks to help you get your home in tip-top shape. In this article, we will focus on the kitchen and Cleaning techniques. The kitchen is often considered the heart of the home, and it’s no secret that it can get messy quickly. BA House Cleaning provides you with simple yet effective ways to keep this area clean. Additionally, mopping is a crucial step in maintaining a clean home. We will share some expert advice on how to mop your floors to ensure they stay sparkling clean. So, let’s dive in and learn how to clean your house like a pro!
In order for you to have your own dream house, we’ve developed 3 articles, here are one and two.
Keep reading for the last article of this series and learn how to clean and maintain that cleanliness as long as possible.
Kitchen
Always do the baseboards first, (with a rag mop) and make sure that the mop is wet enough to actually clean the baseboards.
The most used parts of a kitchen are the tools that contain food—the fridge and ovens—so, those are the utensils that need most of your attention.
For the fridge, wipe the door panel, handle, and the top of the fridge.
In a previous article, we’ve covered how to clean your oven and your oven racks. However, a good and easy way to clean your oven is to spray its interior ahead of time (remove the lower drawer, place about 4 or 5 sheets of newspaper on the floor to catch any drips) and then, when grease and food crumbs are easy to remove, remove them.
For small appliances, after cleaning, remember to polish them.
The mopping part
Use your cleaning product of preference, having in mind your floor type: wood, tile, etc.
A great option to clean your floor and avoid using commercial products is to use vinegar and water a couple of times.
Mop your way out of a room, and it helps to keep the mop head going in the same direction as the grain of the hardwood floor – this reduces the chance of streaks forming.
Extra Tips
Stainless steel appliances: take a microfiber cloth and wet half of it, clean the door, and then dry with the other half of the cloth. If you want to use Stainless Cleaner, wipe in the direction of the grain of the stainless.
If you want to get your refrigerator looking really clean you’re going to want to pull it out. There are two things to remember. Do you have an ice maker? If so there’s a direct water feed and you don’t want to pull this line away from the wall. A refrigerator is heavy and may scratch your floors, so have help and keep an eye on the floor.
Sit on the toilet, what do you see? Be sure that the sight line is clean.
If you are able to complete all the tasks described in this 3-part series, your house should look cleaner than it ever has before!
Keeping your home clean and tidy can be a daunting task, especially if you have a busy schedule or a large family. However, maintaining cleanliness is crucial for a healthy living environment and can even positively impact your mental health. In this article, we’ll share some tips and tricks to help you maintain a spotless home.
As we want you to have your own dream house, we’ve developed 3 articles that will not only tell you how to clean your house like a professional but also maintaining cleanliness as long as possible. This is part 2.
One of the best ways to maintain cleanliness is to set a cleaning schedule. Depending on the size of your home and your family’s lifestyle, you may need to clean daily, weekly, or monthly. The key is to create a schedule that works for you and stick to it. Here are some tips to get you started:
Daily Tasks
Make your bed every morning
Wipe down kitchen counters and stove after cooking
Sweep or vacuum high-traffic areas
Do a load of laundry
Weekly Tasks
Dust all surfaces
Vacuum or mop floors
Clean bathrooms
Change bed linens
Monthly Tasks
Dust blinds and clean windows
Deep clean kitchen appliances
Clean carpets and rugs
Organize closets and drawers
Declutter Regularly
One of the biggest challenges to maintaining cleanliness is clutter. The more stuff you have, the harder it is to keep your home clean and organized. To combat clutter, make it a habit to declutter regularly. Here are some tips:
Create a System
Designate a place for everything
Use storage containers to organize items
Label containers for easy identification
Donate or Sell Items
If you haven’t used an item in over a year, consider donating or selling it
Take advantage of online marketplaces to sell unwanted items
Practice the One-In, One-Out Rule
For every new item you bring into your home, get rid of an old one
Clean as You Go
Another maintaining cleanliness is to clean as you go. This means tackling messes and spills as soon as they happen, instead of letting them build up over time. Here are some examples:
Bathrooms are like a mirror of your maintain cleanliness: if the bathroom is clean and fresh, the entire house seems to reflect that. It’s not only because you use them regularly, but also for every guest you have over.
Mirrors: a streak-free mirror is a must. It has to look clean from all angles. You can use a commercial foam glass cleaner for this purpose, or mix vinegar and water and use it to remove any build-up dirt and grime.
Toilets: Make sure to clean the bowl, lids, fronts, bases, tops, and especially in and around the seat fasteners where dirt tends to collect. Also, wipe the floor by hand. Use any commercial product you prefer or the vinegar plus water mix.
Fixtures: clean all (cool) light bulbs and other light sources. Clean the racks and the top of the shower curtain rod.
Taps have an underside that is mostly forgotten. Clean it with hot water and a simple scrub.
Shower door: take the time to clean the track of grime or hand stains.
Towels: Try and fold all towels.
Walls: bathroom walls have splash marks sometimes. Check all your walls and get rid of the stains.
Vacuuming
At the end of the day, every job depends on the size of your home. maintaining cleanliness in a big house can take a significant timeframe, while a small place will be finished in no time.
Vacuuming is important to avoid allergies and diseases. It is best if you mop afterward to make sure there’s no dust left behind.
Furniture: if it’s possible, try and move couches, chairs, and other items like bedside tables. Then vacuum. Every two or three months move your beds and vacuum underneath.
Area Rugs: For large area rugs, vacuum under fold it back, and vacuum. If small rugs, pick them up and vacuum underneath.
Closets: closets can be a hiding place for a lot of dost. Open their doors and vacuum. If possible, empty them (especially the front hall closet). Kitchens: open the bread drawer or where you store the toaster, and vacuum up the crumbs. Your cutlery drawer will also need dedicated vacuuming.
Next week we’ll cover the last part of this series. Stay tuned!
The kitchen, the special place where we all go to find the comfort of homemade food can be also a war zone if you don’t define a cleaning routine.
You don’t have to sacrifice hours and hours every day cleaning your kitchen. Instead, define a routine that helps you to maintain a general tidiness and do some deep cleaning when the time arrives.
Daily
Cleaning the dishes is the main task in your kitchen. We all have to do them frequently because a kitchen that piles up mountains of dishes will never look (and smell) good. There are two options for doing the dishes: using a dishwasher or cleaning the dishes yourself.
We’ll focus on the DIY option. Actually, it doesn’t have to be only you: ask for some help in order to form a wash, rinse, dry, and put away assembly line.
Empty the dirty water and scrape the plate of food off into the disposal. Then, add the plate to the dishwasher.
If you have a double sink with a garbage disposal on one side, use the disposal-free side. In this way, you’ll be able to scrape leftovers down the drain quickly while you work.
A good tip is to choose the dishes that are going to give you trouble to get clean. Heavily soiled dishes can be put on the bottom and washed in the last place. Pans, bowls, and large dishes can be filled with hot soapy water and set on the counter to soak.
After washing the dishes, it’ll take you around five minutes every day to wipe down the sink, the stovetop, and the counters. Remember to clean your floor after all these activities, as some crumbs tend to fall on it.
Remember to take the trash outside and reline the trash container so that it is ready for the next day’s trash.
Weekly
You’ll need fifteen minutes once a week to wipe the cabinets, backsplashes, and appliances. Rinse out sponges and rags. And take out the crumbles and large (but easy) stains of your kitchen utensils as the microwave, toaster and coffee maker.
You might also want to clean the rack and the inside of the garbage can. As before, remember to clean your floors and, additionally, mop them.
Periodically
You’ll define how often you need to do a deep cleaning that requires emptying and scrubbing down the inside of the refrigerator. You might also want to empty and clean the insides of the utensil drawers and clean the stove-hood filter and do a deep cleaning of your kitchen utensils.
Extra Tips!
As you might guess, doing the dishes for one person is quicker than doing it for an entire family. The more people you have who live and eat in your home, the more time this process is going to take. The good thing about having more people at home is that they can help with the assembly line we mentioned before.
You can also ask your family members to clear and rinse their own plates after each meal. At the end of the day, the person in charge of doing the dishes will find his/her job easier to do.
And, as a final tip, don’t underestimate the power of efficiency. Run a sink of hot soapy water at the same time you start preparing your food. As mixing bowls, cutting boards, knives, etc., become dirty, quickly wash them out to prevent food from drying and sticking.

Stress Can Impair the Decision-Making Process
Any step that you can take to reduce your stress levels is a savvy move. Why? High-stress levels will impact your life and your job performance in ways both large and small. Stress can sneak up on you and impact your life and your health without you even realizing it.
Stress can impair decision making which is, of course, the last thing you need when you are dealing with real estate. The bottom line is that for most people buying or selling a home marks one of the largest financial transactions that they will ever make, period.
If you are buying or selling, you need to focus on the real estate process and not get distracted by stressful factors outside of your area of expertise. Our experienced team has the right tools and an established system for handling all kinds of homes.
What you see around your house that you find stressful or problematic will likely just be quite normal to us! After all, cleaning is what we do for a living! But it isn’t what you do for a living. As a result, our team won’t experience the kind of stress that you are likely to feel about issues like dust, dirt, and mold. For us, it’s just “another day at the office.”
Stress Can Lead to Medical Problems
It is difficult to overstate how important it is to avoid stress. Medical science has firmly established that stress can literally shorten our lives and even damage our brains, increasing the risk of Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative conditions. Stress triggers stress hormones which, in turn, produce inflammation in the body. Inflammation is at the heart and core of a range of diseases including cancer. In short, any steps you can take to reduce your stress levels are well worth it. If you are like most people, you probably don’t like cleaning. Why not let us do the job for you?
Hiring a Housekeeper can be life-altering for the busy family. Now this may seem to be a bit over-the-top, but I am serious. Think about your life-whether single, a couple, or a family you have no time. No time to keep your home as organized or clean as you would like. No time to do the smaller tidying jobs that would make a huge difference.
