Price increase process
📅 Due Date: No later than the 5th of each month
All rate adjustments become effective on the 1st of the following month, giving clients approximately 3–4 weeks’ notice.
Each recurring client should receive only one rate adjustment within a 12-month period.
Step 1: Pull the Scorecard 4 Client List
- Go to Reports in MaidCentral.
- Search for ‘rates’ and open the Rate Increase/Adjustment report.
- Filter for recurring clients who have not received a rate increase in the last 12 months.
- Filter for clients with a Scorecard rating of 4.
- Set the effective date to the 1st of the following month.
- Confirm the appropriate recurring scopes of work are selected.
- Enable:
- Update Percentage-Based Rate Modifications
- Update Job Allowed Hours
Step 2: Sort by Variance and Update Pricing
Sort the client grid by Variance %.
| Variance % | Increase | Action |
|---|---|---|
| 0% or higher | 5% | Process automatically |
| -1% through -10% | 3% | Process automatically |
| -11% or lower | — | Leave unselected for manual review |
After MaidCentral calculates the adjustment:
- Round up to the nearest whole dollar if the job is at or over scheduled time.
- Round down to the nearest whole dollar if the job is under scheduled time.
- Do not process variance of -11% or lower in either automatic batch.
Step 3: First Price Increase Clients — Under 13 Months
These are Scorecard 4 clients with a service start date of less than 13 months ago. They are likely receiving their first price increase.
- Sort the eligible Scorecard 4 clients by Service Start Date.
- Deselect all clients whose service start date is 13 months or more.
- Confirm all clients with variance of -11% or lower remain unselected.
- Send Letter 1 — First-Time System Install to the remaining selected clients.
- After the email is sent, send the SMS heads-up below.
