Prep / Tidy-Up Add-On
Some recurring clients don’t have time to prepare their homes before their scheduled cleaning — dishes may be left out, toys scattered, or clothes all over. The Prep / Tidy-Up Add-On gives them a simple, paid option to have us do essential pre-cleaning prep so our technicians can perform a full, detailed clean.
This service is available only to recurring (maintenance) clients and must be booked in advance. It is not offered for one-time, move-in/move-out, or deep cleans.
✅ What’s Included (in this order):
- Pick up clothes from floors or furniture
- Pick up toys from floors and common areas
- Pick up and dispose of trash (cups, wrappers, small food containers, etc.)
- Gather dirty dishes from rooms and bring them to the kitchen
- Load dishwasher (if space is available)
- Straighten up pillows, throws, and couch cushions
- Hand-washing dishes
❌ What’s Not Included:
- Folding or putting away clean laundry (recommend Family Laundry)
- Sorting, organizing, or decluttering (refer to Michele: https://www.joinsorted.com/sorters/michele)
- Moving heavy objects or furniture
- Party cleanup or excessive messes
- Any task not listed above

Internal Note for Work Order:
Follow task order: Clothes → Toys → Trash → Dishes to Sink → Load Dishwasher → Straighten Pillows. Do not go over time. Call office if more time is needed.
🧭 When to Offer This
✅ During Booking or Rebooking:
- Client mentions being overwhelmed or behind on prepping
- Notes from past visits indicate repeated skipped areas
- Client asks: “Can you just pick things up for me first?”
✅ During Last-Minute Cancellation Calls:
Always ask: “May I ask what’s prompting the cancellation?”
If they say:
- “The house isn’t ready”
- “We didn’t get a chance to clean up”
- “We’ve had a crazy week”

“We totally understand! We actually offer a Prep / Tidy-Up Add-On that lets us handle that part for you. We can pick up clothes, toys, dishes, trash, and more — just the basics to help you get ready. Would you like us to include that instead of cancelling?”
✅ Reminder: This service can be added by the client directly via their MaidCentral customer portal.
If they call or email instead, office staff can add the correct version manually and confirm it in their appointment notes.
