Online Booking Process (Legacy – Before Initial Service Adjustment Trial)
⚠️ This article reflects the previous online booking process used prior to the Initial Service Adjustment trial introduced in 2026.
This process is kept for historical reference only.
For the current process, see: Online Booking Process – Version 2.
This process outlines how to properly verify and finalize online bookings that come in through the website. These are self-service leads — there is no commission because no selling was involved.
💡 What Happens When a Customer Books Online
- Customers select a day, not a specific time.
- They can indicate time preferences only (morning/afternoon).
- The estimate is based on the info they provide (sqft, beds, baths).
- Booking enters MaidCentral (MC) automatically with limited verification.
🔍 Verification Steps
🧼 One-Time Cleanings
-
Verify home details in Zillow, Redfin, or Google:
- Square footage
- Number of bedrooms
- Number of bathrooms
→ If mismatched or unclear, ask client for clarification.
-
Check for a credit card on file
→ Look in the customer profile in MaidCentral (Stripe connection). -
Ensure we have signed Customer Guidelines
→ If not, resend using the GHL guidelines template.
🔁 Recurring Maintenance Cleanings
Same as above, plus recurring setup steps:
- Verify home details (sqft, beds, baths)
→ Cross-check with Zillow, Redfin, or other reliable sources.
→ If mismatched, ask the client for clarification. - Check for a credit card on file via MaidCentral profile.
- Check for signed Customer Guidelines
→ If missing, resend via GHL template. - Send Welcome Email + Data Sheet
- This is usually automated through GHL.
- Still, confirm that the customer submitted it back.
- If not received, send a friendly reminder via GHL to complete it.
✅ Final Steps (All Online Bookings)
- Once all verifications are complete, notify Scheduling that the job is ready to be finalized.
- Schedule the first job in MaidCentral.
- Send a confirmation text to the customer.
🚫 Reminder – No Commission
This is considered a Customer Service task. These jobs are not commissionable, as they are self-service bookings with no sales effort involved.
