Fixing a Missed Hourly Pay in MaidCentral
Issue: A Cleaning Technician was underpaid for hourly work on a specific job in MaidCentral. This guide will walk you through how to fix the missed pay by calculating the correct amount and adding it as additional pay.
Steps to Fix Missed Hourly Pay:
- Access the Specific Job/Day:
- Log in to MaidCentral and navigate to the job or day where the missed payment occurred.
- Ensure you are on the correct day and job record.
- Calculate Total Hours Worked:
- Determine the total number of hours the Cleaning Technician worked for the job on that specific day.
- Example: If the Cleaning Technician worked for 4 hours, this will be the number you use in the calculation.
- Multiply by Hourly Rate:
- Multiply the total hours worked by the standard hourly rate of $25.
- Example:
If the technician worked 4 hours, the calculation would be:
4 hours x $25/hour = $100
- Deduct Any Already Paid Amount:
- Deduct any amount the Cleaning Technician was already paid for the job.
- Example:
Subtract the amount already paid:
$100 - $11.40 = $88.60
- Add as Additional Pay:
- In MaidCentral, go to Cleaning Technician profile and add the difference as additional pay. The amount is taxable, so be sure to mark it accordingly. Link to video how to add additional pay.
- The additional pay should reflect the correct amount owed after the deduction.
- Set the Date for Payroll:
- The payroll date for this additional payment should be the last day of the current week (e.g., today if it’s Friday).
- In the description field, include the actual date the cleaning job occurred for future reference.
Example Description: “Additional pay for cleaning on [Actual Date of Job], correcting underpayment from [Date of Missed Payment].”
- Review and Save:
- Double-check the calculations, ensuring accuracy before finalizing the additional pay entry.
- Save the changes in MaidCentral.
Key Points to Remember:
- The calculation should always reflect the total hours worked multiplied by the standard hourly rate.
- Deduct any payment the technician has already received.
- Ensure the additional pay is marked as taxable.
- Use the last day of the week for the payroll date, but always include the actual date of the job in the description.
This process will ensure that the missed pay is accurately corrected and the Cleaning Technician receives the appropriate compensation.
