Bosnian Coffee | Bosanska kafa

Recipe for two esspresso cups

Fill dzezva (see photo) or any other pot that you would cook a stew in with water to ½ inch from the top.  Heat water in dzezva or pot until it just begins to boil.  Remove from heat.

Add:

3 T. coffee, ground into fine powder – you may buy ground coffee in local Bosnian stores or online if you don’t have a grinder.

Stir until well mixed.  Return to heat until foam rises, but doesn’t boil.  Remove from heat.  Spoon a teaspoon of foam into each cup.  Pour coffee.

Add:

sugar, to taste

Let sit after stirring to allow coffee grounds to settle.  Enjoy!!!
